I think as a creative your mind is always turning. I find myself constantly wondering – what if I shot more fast paced – what if I shot this more artistically – but at the end of the day, we will always be drawn to classic portraiture as Seaside, Florida photographers. It is neat to switch things up from time to time to create fresh work, but I believe that your best work is made by embracing the things, styles and elements that make your soul come alive. For me that is what I consider a timeless photo.
Film help me create what I consider timeless and classy family pictures. I have found over time that I like to see peoples faces and eyes looking at the camera. Down the road, I believe their grandchildren will want to see their faces, expressions and features. The eyes tell a story in and of themselves I have found.
This little family in Seaside, Florida was the perfect example of timelessness. Never be afraid to throw a white heirloom dress on your baby girl at the beach. Our white sand, swaying sea oats and collapsing waves make for a background that will never go out of style.
