With so much extra time at home the past few months, I started documenting more of our normal day to days in b/w film. There is something about b/w film that takes an ordinary scenario and makes it seem timeless, thought out or more appealing than color at times.
These are just a few of our family around the house and at the beach over the past few months. And I still have quite a few rolls to send off to be developed!
I think this has begun a personal project for me. For so many years I have shot client work mainly, and maybe personal when I had a chance. During most of the year, those chances are few and far between. This time away from the hustle has completely reversed that for me. Personal work needs to come first – then client. The only way you will grow in YOUR vision – in YOUR style – is if you shoot like you would shoot if no one were to ever see the photographs.
