How I adore this family!! I have been so incredibly fortunate as a photographer in Santa Rosa Beach that so many of my “families” have become friends from Summer to Summer of photographing them. I LOVE watching their kids grow up, more babies get added to the family and see little personalities unfold. The crazy thing is that it goes both ways! So many of my families always ask about our family, want to see photos of my girls and even have sent hand me downs/gifts to them!! I honestly am taken back when I think about it. I get to do a job as a photographer in Santa Rosa Beach that at the heart of it comes down to connecting people together – specifically families.
Connecting with a family time after time also builds trust which is the main key in getting beautiful family photos. When they trust me as their photographer, they are able to relax more in front of the capture. This helps create more natural interactions and at times they forget I am even there which is the BEST!
I photographed the Janik family a few years ago in Rosemary Beach, FL and immediately walked away thinking “I want to hang out with them.” Since then their family has grown and I got to photograph them this year while visiting in Grayton Beach!
