Tori of Victoria Austin Designs and I met on Instagram of all places. She was a wedding florist and at the time I was a wedding photographer. Our work was so similar in style that we both gravitated towards what each other was going! We ended up getting to do a few weddings together which was a dream but the best part of all – Tori became my wedding florist and designed our stunning wedding invitations. We had lunch in Pensacola, Florida to talk about my upcoming wedding and this girl showed up with flowers for me!! That is the type of person she is.
I have had the privilege to photograph Tori and her family well, before they were a family with kids. (Unless a fur baby counts – which I think it does!) I first photographed Tori, Andrew and their dog Otto in Alabama near their home. When Tori became pregnant, I photographed her maternity photos in Rosemary Beach – a place that means so much to her. I later went back for newborn pictures when their son was born.
Well, this time I met Tori and her two boys (with another on the way) in Rosemary Beach! The day was full of pool time, sand castles and the Sugar Shak, of course.
Tori is one of those people who live artistically. She creates beauty around her in everything she does – friendships, mothering, home design, florals or paper. She celebrates every single thing she can and her love of life is insanely intoxicating! She recently just went through a new home build and chose every detail to perfection. She has a rose garden that literally deserves to be in a magazine!
While was a “work” – it was really felt like me pretending to be on vacation with my friend.
