One of the greatest joys of being a 30A family photographer has come in the form of watching families evolve through the years. It has become one of the greatest gifts of my career. The Anderson family is one of those families! I first photographed these guys in 2018 when they were just a family of three with one on the way.
To watch these little girls grow from tummy to little ladies is such a privilege. It is also so humbling to grow in friendship with their sweet mom, who spent a few months living in India after college. We talked about our times there, the people, the culture and of course, our sweet little S. It was such an encouragement to my heart to share stories with each other and bond over a people we have grown to love.
30A is no new place to the Anderson family. They have built so many memories in this community. What an honor it is to be their 30A family photographer and capture them in their favorite place year after year.
When we were talking about what parts of Watercolor really mean a lot to them they mentioned the gardens, butterfly gardens, the Boathouse and the beach. We did their maternity session years ago at the WaterColor Boathouse so we started our session off there. The girls wore timeless swimsuits because this is the life they live while they are here in 30A. We then hit the beautiful Cerulean Park in WaterColor. They explored the flowers, climbed a few trees then we hit the beach for the most beautiful, warm golden sunset I think I have ever seen on 30A.
One thing I always tell my families is that to really connect with your family photos you don’t need the perfect outfit, aesthetic or even everyone in the best mood. You need truth. For the Anderson family, that was showcasing how they spend their days while they are in 30A. Swimsuits, gardens, the beach and repeat. Timelessness and honesty always go hand in hand.
