I met the Pulliam family at Grayton Beach State Park for their recent family session. We started off exploring the trails together. Before we got to the top of the dune where the trail leads, we had a baby diaper emergency.

Sometimes my clients are so fearful of what if something goes wrong during their family pictures and I reassure them that something will go wrong – to embrace that and roll with it! That is life – especially with young kids. It makes great stories in the future but in the now, that is where having a professional photographer comes in. I think that also comes with having two girls of my own and having our family portraits done often. I know how quickly things can go sideways. Ha! Sarah was such a pro, though, and didn’t let the mishap derail her. We got some incredible portraits of her sweet girls and baby boy in the nature park of Grayton Beach State Park!
We then hit the beach right in time for the most gorgeous sunset! It helps having two locations in your portraits because changing locations almost does to the mind. It is like it signals your brain that you made it past one location – so you can relax. This is actually not that bad. I am actually enjoying this. This is when the best Grayton Beach State Park photos are made!
