It’s such an honor to have Cory and my wedding featured on Style Me Pretty.
Why was this day so special, other than the obvious reason of Cory getting to marry me? 😉 I kid. It was because of the small details. All of those small details added up making it a serious dream.
For example, my videographer? None other than my brother-in-law, Andrew Lanier Arts. My stylist, aka the person who took my vision and brought it to life, stationer and florist was none other than my dear friend and favorite person, Victoria Austin Designs. My photographer? The one that showed up hours before I had booked her for, surprising me at my hotel room, carrying props galore that she knew I loved, the one I love assisting weddings for… oh, her? Yeah, none other than my friend from college, Jennifer Blair. The people that made my hair and makeup look perfect? Those dear friends, Morgan King and Brooke Miller! The bridesmaids and groomsmen that celebrated that day the most with us? Yeah, those were Cory’s brothers and my sisters. The person who walked me down the aisle and performed our ceremony? That would be my tear-jerking Dad. The Bible he preached the ceremony from? It was one that he had made with Cory and my name on it, for us to have for years to come.
That, my friend, is what makes a wedding more than a Pinterest fest. Those details make it a day that you remember and cherish, even when the dress, colors and vision are one day out of style.
